Who We Are

Park Slope United Methodist Church is a diverse, vibrant and growing congregation in Brooklyn, New York. It is marked by warm and lively worship and a commitment to social justice. Announcements

  • Please join us on Pride Worship Sunday for a day of celebration Sunday, June 27th. At 9:15 am, the Reconciling Ministries Committee will host a breakfast in the church garden to welcome LGBT folks and visitors to our PSUMC community. At 10:00 am, the regular Sunday service will feature music and a message recognizing God's inclusive love for all people. And finally, join us immediately following the worship service where we will travel together to Manhattan to line-up for the NYC Pride March. Feel free to join for any and all events.
  • Women’s Fellowship Potluck: All PSUMC women are invited to attend our ‘No Agenda Potluck’ on Friday, July 9 from 7 to 9 pm in the church garden. Please bring your own beverage and a food to share as we build community and friendship and enjoy a summer breeze.   • “El Porvenir” Potluck and Presentation - Friday June 25 at 7 PM Join us for a potluck dinner in the garden and learn about El Porvenir’s success in enabling rural Nicaraguan villages to obtain clean water and sanitation. Executive Director Rob Bell, up from Managua, Nicaragua, will share some information about El Porvenir. PSUMC members who participated in an El Porvenir work project in Nicaragua last year will also be on hand to share their experiences. Help us celebrate El Porvenir's 20th anniversary!
  • Please note that our worship service will move to 10:00 am for the summer months beginning the last Sunday of June, June 27th.

Wednesday evenings at 7:30 pm, song and meditation inspired by the Taizé community of France. One of only two weekly Taizé services in New York City.
