Newcomer Coffee Hour June 25th

Newcomers Special Coffee Hour Next Sunday, June 25th:  Here at Park Slope United Methodist Church (PSUMC), we love meeting newcomers!  We’d like the opportunity to get to know you better.  Whether you've been here for a few weeks, a few months, or you're visiting for the very first time, you're invited to join us for an informal after-service get-together.   If you have children, bring them along.

Volunteer to Support the Respite Shelter

Dear PSUMC family we need your help! We're seeking volunteers to either cook dinner or stay overnight at a men’s shelter the week of July 24. Please join us for this much needed work! The Respite Shelter at Old First Church will begin its sixth season this summer. Our volunteer participation provides a welcoming and safe environment for 14 men each night who take part in CAMBA's shelter program. We'll be serving the 4th week in July, the 24-28th. Each evening needs two overnight hosts and two dinner hosts for our week.

Faith Over Fear Coalition June 15 6:30-9:30PM

The Faith Over Fear Coalition of 24 faith-based organizations and leaders from over 100 congregations from across New York City, is putting our faith in action by deepening our faith communities civic engagement. As people of faith and as voters, we must unite across NYC to put pressure on the candidates to work for us and follow our agenda - not vice versa.

Join PSUMC Resistance Choir, Thursday, June 15th, 7:00 PM at PSUMC

We will be preparing to participate in many community events, rallies, and protests as we re-imagine our community in our current environment of upheaval.
We will share traditional protest songs, develop harmonies, and learn songs with opportunities to improvise and create new and relevant lyrics.  We'll also share events and information and make plans to resist at every opportunity.  Join us, friends! All are welcome.
