Conference-wide Reconciling Group Founded
On Sunday, November 5, 2006 several dozen activists, including PSUMC reconciling chair, Benz, met at St. Paul & St. Andrew to found a new organization dedicated to conference-wide reconciling work. The new group is called Methodists in New Directions (MIND).
At the November 5th meeting the group passed a set of by-laws and elected its steering committee. Benz was elected chair of the new group. The group's first general meeting takes place on Sunday, January 21, 2007, at 3pm at Memorial Methodist Church in White Plains. That meeting will kick off the group's membership drive and spring action campaign. It is open to all conference activists. For more information about MIND, email Benz.
