Caregiving Support Group to present Advance Directives Workshop
On January 21st, 1:00 pm after church, Larry McGaughey will give a workshop in the church sanctuary on health care proxies, living wills and powers of attorney. Attendees will have the opportunity to complete forms for themselves and to optionally have them notarized at the workshop. This workshop is sponsored by The Support Group for People with Aging Family and Friends and is open to anyone who would like more information about advance directives.
Persons of all ages may unexpectedly be in a position where they cannot speak for themselves, such as an accident or severe illness. In these situations, having an “advance health care directive” assures that your doctor knows your wishes about the kind of care you want and/or who the person is that you want to make decisions on your behalf.
