"Marisa and I did the window which I have begun to refer to as 'Trinity of Stars Over the Ocean.' The idea came from our original, albeit mistaken, view that the windows were to reflect advent themes, and Marisa said she thought there should be stars. Nonetheless, we liked the star as image and continued with it. Three as the number in the Holy Trinity, and also the intrinsic nature of 'three' as both an odd but balanceable, triangulating number appealed to me. The ocean theme came out of Elizabeth's question in the workshop about what the church embodied for each of us. I wrote something about how the church was like a deep ocean of people, nourishing us, sustaining us, containing both much that is known and trusted as well as much that is so deeply mysterious that all we can do is respect silent powers and surrender in faith." -- Judy Fram (worked with daughter Marisa Fram) Advent 1999 Group
